An artistically evocative video from the legendary, once-underground Russian/Soviet rock band Aquarium (Аквариум), featuring renowned singer-singwriter Boris Grebenshikov (BG)/ Борис Гребенщиков (БГ). The song is "Moscow, October" (Московская Октябрьская), from the 1994 album "Kostroma, mon Amour." It is a sad, but lyrically sublime response to the Russian Constitutional Crisis of September-October 1993, which involved the most deadly street fighting in Moscow since the Bolshevik Revolution of October 1917. @ericyanikov Yes, art is created in a culture and in a context -- but if it is great art it eventually transcends both; and then it belongs to all humanity and all the ages. Example: The Rolling Stones wrote "Gimme Shelter" in the context of the social chaos and generational splits of the late 60's in North America and Western Europe. People too young to remember or from other cultures don't know this and don't care: such songs endures because they make your hair stand on end just the same.
