Poker Tournament Indicator Pickle!!!

It's good to see a hand that doesn't win. All these videos of all these different calculators showing just winning hands makes some believe that they're perfect programs. Besides, aren't we supposed to learn more from our mistakes than our successes ?

I completely agree with your play Marty. I push a lot of draws deep in tournaments. I'd rather hit the draws 1 in every 5 tournaments I play to make the final table than to play tight and always finish way outside the final table. The pay difference is huge. Playing to win is the only way.

I probably would have called here too, but when the big stack pushed I may have folded. Not sure. Hind sight is 20/20 right?
Overall, you made the right play IMHO.

@TurtleKnife I agree. as the stacks were you could have easily been up against 2 overs from the 6000 stack, A 8 or 10 10 from the big stack, and who cares what from the little guy. I would have prefered 2 overs plus the flush but I definitely could have made the same play.

It's hard to know if i'm underdog to 44k dude, being out of position. Disregarding the prize jumps, consider if
He shoves, i'm usually underdog to him (not good)
He folds, assume 6k dude has top pair, i'm about 50-50 (fair)
He calls, prolly he's also drawing str8 or flush: he has around 1:2.8 pot odds if i blind shove 4th st, which might force him fold if he still on draw (say 84% of time), then it's the case above with bonus (fair improves to not bad). The other 16% is more complicated.

@turtleknife - what is the MZone indicator and what does it mean???

I was in the same situation yesterday flush draw, short stacked, on 5th place so deep into the money, couldnt hope for a chance for 4th place with my stack so i pushed. Guess what, no diamond.
Is it just me or fulltilt rewards only imbecils hoping for a miracle like 2 outs or some shit.
I never get my draws when i have like a million of outs. Holdem or omaha, same shit :))
It`s like the site is playing against me.

Pot odds work... especially in that situation. Good play i think ill subscribe
the Aces guy really made that hand a circus...Disco Hal (4,3) was a shortstack so when he hit that one 4 I think he just gambled that every limper had face cards or 9 10 suited...Your thinking was good but you did only have BB invested so it was a gamble to call the All in from Disco Hal knowing 2 players left to act....with only the BB invested and 20k left you had to know you were at best 40% to win

KNOWING I was behind was clearly stated in the video, the potential to emerge as the big stack from this hand is what the debate is about.

Yes, your play is debatable all right!
I didn't like your rationale for chasing that flush draw.
Your win odds were okay -- lower would have been better -- but your pot odds simply were NOT high enough to call that bet. I think you know this.
Me, I'd rather make correct mathematical decisions, read my opponents, and get blinded out rather than gamble.
If I want to gamble, I'll play slot machines.

Did you really mean to say you would rather get blinded out?
