...finally my dad did ad work with Dave Winfield and would get bags of batting practice balls from the coaches. I had the best kid and teen years as it relates to sports that I could have imagined.

...to continue. My dad I had Padres season tickets in the 1970's and saw the first All Star game played in Jack Murphy Stadium. I was there the night Ray Krock grabbed the mic, the first appearance of the KGB chicken, when streakers were on the field, and when Ozzie Smith and Dave Winfield played their first games. At that same restaurat where I worked all the ball teams would come in and eat...I have a Padre game program signed by the 1972 Atlanta Braves...

Ok - San Diegans...here is a short memory lane story for you all...
My dad and I went to the San Diego Rocket games at th Sports Arena. I saw Big E and Calvin Murphy play...then saw them leave for Houston. My dad and I went to San Diego Conquistador games...they played in a few places....I saw the Sails...Wilt Chamberlain coach...at the Community Concourse...then we watched the Clippers. I used to work in a restaurant and cooked breakfast for some of the basketball players. What a blast!

If only the Clippers would move back to San Diego and adopt a new logo (or the old one). They'd at least not seem like a Lakers wannabe.
