160 carriages/coaches plus 40 car carriers/autoracks would be over 13600 feet long. That's over three statute miles in length. I'd also bet a passenger train that long would be fatally subject to stringlining on all but the slightest curvature.
Yeah, I'm a Yank. It's nice to know the Aussies can keep up with Amtrak's AutoTrain, but dang, go faster! AutoTrain can achieve 80 mph inside 2 miles hauling 20 Superliners and usually an equal number of autoracks with 2 G.E. P-40s. Match that!!!

I wonna go on that oneday. Which city on the EC does it stop at?. I reckon of that's Standard gauge maybe a Diesil ICE 3/T would be a better choice if the Rail company can afford $20 Million or whatever it is =) but I oneday will travel the Country I live in all I need is the money haha. Only been in 50 towns/citys in my life in Queensland (where I live), NSW (where I was born) and ACT (year 7 trip)

you say its 160 carriages, 4 car carriages so 156 passenger carriages?!? WRONG its no where near that, it would take like 7 engines to tow it, its 20 carriages max. idiot
