I really don't know what's wrong with my videos lately; I apologize for the image quality and hope you don't mind that all too much.
Now, the song. It's "Love" from Robin Hood - obviously. The German title is simply "Liebe", which means love, haha, what a surprise. I don't know who the singer is, Marian is dubbed by Susanne Tremper who did also Shanti's voice (The Jungle Book) and Faline's (Bambi). And isn't that an exciting song? *cough and hide*

Vocabulary:
beginnen - to begin
das Kind, die Kinder - child(ren)
die Seligkeit - bliss
glücklich - happy
das Glück - luck, happiness, bliss
der Himmel - sky, heaven
währen - to last
wunderschön - "wonderfully beautiful"

I don't own this video, Robin Hood belongs to Disney!

  • Very beautiful.

  • Beautiful. I'm sure Susanne Tremper did her own singing here.

  • Who ever said that German can't be beautiful? I love her voice

  • @Cyberbob1987 I don't mean to be rude but I have to correct you: There's no such word as Seeligkeit. Seligkeit is perfectly fine, I even re-checked it in the Duden.

Susanne Tremper sang Snowwhite in the second German dub from 1966. In the most recent version from 1994 it's Alexandra Wilcke who also dubbed Nala and Pocahontas. Just for the sake of completeness. :)

  • Susanne Tremper is a first class actress and singer. She dubbed the singing voice of Snow white in the 2. german version. Unfortunately, Disney did a third dubbing in 1994 and banished the wonderful Tremper-Schneewittchen. We asked to rerelease it, but Disney said: No! Shame on them!!!!!

  • thanks for the video!

it eradiates exactly that sentiments and disposition as in the movie :) :)

    beautiful...

  • A beautiful and powerful song. Powerful being used like, it gave off strong emotion. The emotions? Love and happiness. Great movie, great song.

  • I love this song! Nice version!

  • OMG I love this movie!! I always thought this was one of most romantic parts of any Disney movie, it's just really sweet and subtle. I really like the singer for this song, she's sounds like she's singing a lullaby or something. :)

    Great job!

  • I find myself reciting the rest of the English version.

The lyrics in this version sound like cliches somehow...not the best. But you did it! So I watched it!
