Class 14 D9524 starting up for the first time in several years at the Elsecar Heritage Railway. Engine was running slightly unevenly due to an injector pipe having not quite seated properly.

  • @burghill1979 No, its a Rolls Royce DV8TCE, its the only class 14 so far fitted with anything other than the Paxman 6YJXL.

  • Its got an serious hunting issue there :S are you going to post up another vid when you have got it running more smoothly please, I can't hear that distinctive V8 burble yet, DV8's sound dreadfull when they are running rite, it would be good to get an idea what a Class 17/1 sounded like ;)
