A rough sphere should reach about 175mph (calculations assume a 20-lb pumpkin), which is certainly enough to kill someone if they were hit in the head. Not an unfunny way to die though.

You are so right! A skydiver reaches a T.V. of around 120 mph. I wonder what the terminal velocity of a pumpkin is?
