I LOVE THIS SONG... ALL THE RIGHT WORDS TO THOSE WHO DONT KNOW A GOOD THING WHEN ITS LOOKING THEM DEAD IN THE FACE...
-
This influenced John Lennon to write "Sexy Sadie" in 1968, and also, The Beatles played this song on January 3rd, 1969, during the Get Back/ Let It Be Sessions.

THE MIRACLES are the MOST COVERED Motown group of ALL TIME ....and the MOST INFLUENTIAL to boot. So, why are the artists that copy and cover their tunes in THE ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME...but THEY'RE NOT ??

In a 1969 interview, John Lennon said that his favorite songs was "I've Been Good To You" by Smokey Robinson & The Miracles. This piece begins with the line: Look What You've Done / You made a fool out of someone, compared to "Sexy Sadie": What have you done? / You made a fool of everyone, which are obviously taken from this subject.

Damn, found this song linked to "Don Juan" by the Ideals. I'm going to have to look up more of the doo wop Smokey Robinson era. Bad ass song.
