  • no concrete base?

  • @wilatemodel - You certainly could use a concrete base but a fiberglass foundation ring with at least 4" of gravel will work just fine. The gravel or rocks can be virtually anything 1/2" size or smaller, several have said they use crushed granite. Landscapers will find this VERY convenient since they will often have extra material to use instead of battling the cost and labor involved with pouring concrete.
