Gary Sinise - Prevent Soldier Suicide

Award-winning actor, Gary Sinise, famous for his various roles including Lt. Dan in the movie Forest Gump, and NASA engineer Ken Mattingly in Ron Howard's Apollo 13, has done a public service announcement for the Veterans Administration to raise awareness of soldier suicides. Does anyone who watched this think that part of the way to fix the problem of soldier suicide would be to stop deploying them to fight these illegal wars?

I respect what you do Gary, this will help.. The Vets I know are over medicated patted on the ass and told to get on with their lives. Medication is not to used as a solution in most cases but as a tool...Medication is supposed to be used stabilze a client so therapy can be used to get to core issues. That is not being doing with a lot of Vets I know and know of...........

Just thanks for this... Cannot quite find the words. I haven't been in any war, don't know relatives who battled but I also wanted to die a few years ago and tried to kill myself. It's something I'm not really proud of but now that I'm still alive, I realize that there are good things to fight for... That man is just awesome, not only because he's a great actor, but also because of his kindness and humanity <3
