yeah thats a 7mm-08 308 necked down to 7mm
-
try a 308 cass with a 7mag bullet .284 and yes they don't kick much
-
if you need someone too sight your gun then do do not need to be shooting it
-
7mm-08 is basically a 308 and a 30-06 has a little kick.If your gun has a decent pad on it will not kick that hard
-
When shooting off the bench use a sand bag under the butt of the rifle or make a fist by sqeezing your fist or sand bag you can make very small adjustments to the shot placement.

Thank you! That was my first time ever shooting a high powered rifle like that. I ended up shooting my first deer before Christmas last year with my best friend's Browning .300 WSM! Wish it had been my gun, but we couldn't find the bullets for it!

I noticed on the first shot your front rest had shifted and the shot was rushed. If you can get some sandbags or a solid rest it will probably help quite a bit. Of course shooting off the bench is mainly for load testing and not field shooting skills. have fun

Thanks for the suggestion, I will try the sandbags sometime.
