@the7thwreck I use a similar machine, its called a sluice, they work much better if you run them in a creek with fast running water (so you need a bit of a hill). It needs to be running fast enough to wash the lighter material through the sluice but not too fast that it also washes the gold. Controlling the speed of the flow is pretty important, but its not hard to get right. If you find area like that you don't need no generator, no pumps, nothing, just a shovel and a sluice.

@ripporter Yes there are/were some in the area. We kiddies always took field trips to them growing up. And no he does not dance.

So cool! I want one, Is that generator running it though? The cost of that running would be more expensive than any gold found! If its just usng the flow of water then yeah, he really could make a go of it.
