Virsa - Naat - Rahat Fateh Ali sings Iqbal - Lauh bhi tu Qalam bhi tu - Part 2

I cant say about Indian Movies but in Pak Film Music or otherwise I never heard Darood Shareef with Tabla in background.. Either it is accompanied by silence of instruments or the chorus vocals ..not even the instrument called Daff which is routine part of most of the Naat..but not when Darood Sharif is being recited... Close to the end of this qawwali however, you will hear for the first time a Darood Shareef with Tabla continued to play in the background.. While it is an innovation I wud like to ask how the listeners felt..and what was its effect to ears as well as soul.. Do give your feedback plz,
This Naat was Most Demanded on YouTube since its broadcast.. I got hundreds of emails, sms, phone calls and pvt messages for this one while I had saved the best for the last... on the sacred occasion of Hajj Day where millions of pilgrims performed Hajj..with a wish for peace n love to all and hatred for none..this is dedicated to all those who love humanity irrespective of the religioun, race, language and other differences.

I dont know why some people are getting over excited by my previous comment as I have never said that it is justified to read Durood Shareef or Quran Paak with Music, infact I am of the opinion that this is totally wrong. All I was saying is that it was not rahat who firstly did this. Period.

@lovehumanity This was done in many mehfils before by other qawwals like Sher ali Mehr ali, Muzammal muazzam qawwal, Badr Miandad with even Shaykh al Islam Dr Tahir ul Qadri in attendance. Videos of these are available on youtube if you search for them.

The chorus of "Ya Muhammad" is just out of this world. Coming to the use of the tabla, baaja when rahat is reading Ya nabi salaamu alaika, this is not an innovation in this particular time but it was done by Nusrat aswell as many other qawwals before.

Dear Sir/Madam.. am not talking of Naat wording with Tabla cuz that has been performed many a times by various composers..qawwalies as well as in Filmi Naats.. plz quote any example of pure Darood Shareef wording with this Drum or Tabla ..by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan..for my knowledge plz.

If Nusrat or any other big name in the field of music has done this, doesn't actually justify doing this on and on and it never certifies Rahat or any other to do it, this time or anytime. Honestly, I am not being extreamist or foundamentalist here, when it comes to religion we should stand where the truth lies, above our hobbies and fan-following. We should respect our divine associations and should glorify them avoiding these kind of acts.
