  • Is it kinda like the Countryside magazine or is it just another worthless tree hugging magazine? Mother Earth News was good in the 70s but then the commercialized tree huggers took it over and made the magazine worthless.

  • @winstonsmith2600 its a good magazine.

  • My grandfather farmed with horses for many years on his rocky farm in the WV mountains as his father did before him. He quit farming when he was 90 and had to move to town. He passed away at 93 from cancer. I still remember his horse "Dan". He had hooves as big as a round piano stool.

God Bless any farmer that farms this way because they must love the land and what they are doing.

  • This is my dream. I didn't know people were doing this in such numbers.

  • We really enjoy the SFJ! Keep up the good work!

  • I hear you buddy thats the first set finding a place and a work horse

  • I read small farmers journal and it is great.i cut hay with draft horses a lot of fun.

  • that was the best vid i've ever seen. it hit this old country boys heart. i will be one of those guys. i am going to moving into the counry as soon as i find a place within my price range and am going to rent out my current house.

  • Absolutily right. We need to go back to this way of life and continue using are horses fo more farming then competing in the show ring's for blue ribbon's and metal's. Any comments?

    Laura
