The Junior Senator of Illinois, Barack Obama, has repeatedly promoted his belief that certain parts of the Constitution of the United States are invalid. He seems to believe that he can interperate what the Founding Fathers believed.

Let's put that to the test.

  • Respond to ur previous posts. BEBE's complained her posting did NOT get posted, she never said it was because of the Monster blocking her. Each time she tried to post it repeated says "Error Processing, Please Try Again."; but then you already had 6 postings while she couldn't post one.

Then BEBE announced " You Know Im Not Allowed To..", so let IPOMonster know, as they had discussed about the censor before. If she say "You Know Im Not Allowed To POST" the statement would not be posted.

  • You & ur members constantly makin threats way before t/ebates & repeatedly snapped & used foul language "UKBEBE, go fuck yourself"; you don't consider yourself havin a breakdown? but others think so.

In ur sick mind, BEBE calmly voices her opinions, never uses foul lang. or makes threats & is considered as havin a meltdown. Yet you've STILL NOT SHOWN ANY POST from her to prove ur lies

Your on t/internet 24/7 at our taxdollars just to spread lies, do personal attacks & trash America.

  • The minute you guys give up your arms your fucked. its plain as daylight what obama is planning.. every single day since he (unlawfuly) became president (like our g brown) he has eroded your rights. people are waking up but way too slowly

  • One example of someone successfully using their second amendment against the government?

Sure: American Revolution. Hence the reason the 2nd Amendment was created.

  • They are right. Now im off to go watch the music video by Aerosmith Janie's got a gun.

  • Besides, how is the media's portrayal of people exersise their Second Amendment rights be a reason to have a hang up about the Second Amendment. Making those people seem like crazies and gun nut seems more like and issue that you should have with modern culture. People who challange the governemnt are often demonized, this is true. However, people who challange the government are also seen as heros. Remember the and womens' and minority rights activists? It's all perspective and cause.

  • Maybe mentally unstable was not the best choice of words. However, the Branch Davidians were widely considered an extremist cult awaiting the apocolypse. Randy Weaver did remove himself from civilization and was a memeber of the aryan nation. People who exersise their Second Amendment rights are different from people who break gun laws. Someone who is truly wanting to exersise his rights would work to change the law, not forget the law entirely.

  • might i ask, why do you think the people at ruby ridge and waco were mentally unstable? (and i'm not suggesting they weren't)

is it because the government said they were? because they shot at federal agents and cops?

that's my hangup on the 2nd amendment. it is very easy to make the people who exercise it seem nuts, after they've been killed.

this is the lesson i learned from what happened at waco. there's a good article on counterpunch about how people who questioned the fed were demonized.

  • That is very true.

I still must add, thought, that Ruby Ridge and Waco are not examples of faults in the Second Amendment, the First Amendment, or the relationship between the two. In both cases, mentally unstable individuals were breaking laws and law enforcment didn't handle the situation as well as they could have. It just so happened that guns were the tools used in the conflict.

I appreciate your support of those who do wish to own firearms and I also support your wish not to.

  • thank you, i've never heard of that incident before! there doesn't seem to be much online about it, but i will keep looking.

i would point out that the net effect of thumbs down ratings is a hidden comment. and i agree that that's kind of silly, but i hope you see the point i am trying to make with my examples of waco and ruby ridge.

and just for the record, i support your right to bear arms, though i personally am not comfortable exercising it myself.

  • How about the Battle of Athens, also known as the McMinn County Wars. Some WW2 vets were able to overthrow a corupt local government after peaceful, democratic methods failed due to voter fraud and intimidation. Also, you are not being censored by people who support the second amendment, they are simply showing that they disagree with your comments by giving you a thumbs down.

  • actually, it seems to be a typical american attitude. i would be very interested if you would answer my comment, from under its 18 thumbs downs.

why do conservatives bury the truth?
