  • Don't care how many parts u play at once. It's still only this song.Nothing more, nothing less.Technique and chops are only tools and part of a long end in making music viable for the soul.

  • If you all liked this, check out Doug Smith playing Guy Van Duser's arrangement (which is the one Chet used). All parts...one guitar, and he does a great job on it. Do a youtube search of: "Doug Smith perform Stars & Stripes"....on "jennconducts" channel.

    Rgds,

    Joe Carpenter

  • @Rynotows I stand by my comments. Reed was competent, but that's the best that can be said about him.

  • SMOKEY!!!!

  • @haunter112 Ah, baloney. Kottke is far superior in every way.

  • Leo Kottke would be the first to tell you he is nowhere near the musician Reed was.

  • @etcjoe Leo Kottke is a far better fingerpicker, as are most classical guitarists.

  • @badfinger848 Chet Atkins was pretty good. haven't heard Emmanuel , so I can't comment on him. Reed was competent, but not great.
