Traveled to Taiwan with 4 other ALTs for "Silver Week".
Only had to use 2 Nenkyu (paid vacation) for a 5 day trip!!!

Wow looks so fun! So how many paid holidays do you get for the year? And are you allowed to take unpaid leave?

so as a JET you get 20 days, i believe. unfortunately no, you cannot take unpaid leave. that concept is really not understood here. i've learned from older JETs that using your nenkyu wisely is key! take advantage of any three day weekends!!!
