  • @cliffworks- It was an epiphone, not a gibson. I had the pleasure of playing THIS song on the guitar several years back, before the family sold it (before Roc's recent death). It wasnt in very good shape, and needed some restoration. The binding was coming loose.

  • I love the gown with the off-the shoulders on Miss GinnySimms. Very lovely lady

    and a voice to match.

    Iris

  • @30SecondsOfFame you wouldn't still have his guitar would you? it'd be worth a fortune today. a blonde gibson arch top

  • Frank Sinatra lost his Movie Contract with MGM Studios due to a joke he made about Ginny Simms one day in the MGM Commissary. Louis B. Mayer had broken his leg that morning playing polo, the skinny was that he'd done it falling off a horse. When someone repeated the story to Frank Sinatra and Gene Kelly, Frank shouted out " I heard he broke it falling off of Ginny Simms!" Kelly tried to caution him, but it was too late. He was called into Mayer's office and fired that very afternoon....

  • she was louis b mayer's mistress. she was talented too bad she didn't become a bigger star.

  • i wish it was 1940's again :) although i wasn't alive...i think that is were i belong, the 40's...not the 2000's :(

  • I have beautiful production stills from this movie of my father and Ginny. You're right he was a feature player in this video - I like the camera-work!

  • @30SecondsOfFame Your Dad got almost as much camera time as Ginny. Glad you viewed this clip. Tom

  • My father Roc Hillman is playing guitar.
