First guy talking on this is Alan Leeds who worked very closely with Prince from about 82 through the early 90's. I think Alan poured over Prince his experience and insight which may have influenced Prince into some new directions and listen to broader avenues like Miles Davis. Alans brother Eric was Prince's main sax guy, incredible musician, he was big on Miles. All this is so interconnected, its wild. Its FUNK.

definitely wesbrooks @ 3:34 . name translated from the japanese in the upper left. you'll notice the cbs there in roman characters. search logan westbrooks of cbs records. he was the head of urban music for cbs.
