FPA: World 3, Report 7 - Watch me animate, and games as art

www.bornegames.com 6 hours of animating, running at 50x speed! I also weight in on the eternal games as art argument that's found new life on the internets lately. Not really trying to show off, just showing you guys what really goes into these animations. Also, I'd love to hear your responses on the games as art issue, I almost want to upload another video later, just feel like I have too much to say about the issue. Either way, 'games can never be art' is bar none the most ignorant, idiotic, and hypocritical statement I've ever heard in my life.

@MegzPivotguy: Well, that's what the program's set to, the actual running frame rate is 30, I clock it back down with a while command to keep a smooth framerate, otherwise it's sort of jittery.

DrNeroCF LoL you are so wise! Except you are wrong. You are freaking excellent at animating, and taking more time your stuff ends up being more than perfect!! A thousand honest congrats, dude! I envy your framing and smooth animations, though!

Whenever someone says my drawings/sketches are terrible, that's like one of the worst insults to me because I'm the 2nd best sketcher/drawer in my class.

@encinalpop: Haha, lots of music, I've gone through every Angry Video Game Nerd, Nostalgia Critic and Nostalgia Chick video, and quite a few IGN podcasts

@encinalpop: I don't know, I'd like to get away from doing most of the coding myself, I'm pretty slow and not really that great of a programmer. Wish I could talk to Adobe first and see their reasoning in that. I know a lot of devs who are more designer centric, but they use much older versions of Flash anyway.
