I got a few questions, can a type 1 diabetic join the TA? I'm 14 at the moment and have pretty good control of diabetes. Also I have a nut allergy, would this affect my chances of signing up? I'm interested to be in the artillery section of the army :) thanks

@Nunfluff Piloting would be in the RAF I should have thought and their upper age limits quite young, something like 21 I think.

@ZombieSlayer1210 I'm not sure on those issues. Your best bet would be to contact your local recruiting office and ask them. Have you thought about cadets?

What's the age limit for joining mate ? I'd look it up, but I'm about to hit the sack. TA might be right for me.

Lower limit is 18 I think but there was a 17 1/2 yr old lad on my basic training. Not sure how it works, best check with your unit. The upper age limit is definitely 43. If you want to become an officer then the upper limit is 35 I believe
