Thanks! My oldest is 4 and we've started reading for her. Next one is 2.5, next is almost 2, next is almost 1. At least we don't have any mandates to meet for the 4-year-old. We do tend to take advantage of nap time for the toddlers. Baby is still unpredictable, though, so we just do reading while he plays or while I nurse or hold him.
Thanks for the tips. I have tried some of these tips myself seeing that I have been continuously having children for the past 5 years. When I started my oldest at age 3 my youngest at the time was 12 months. So I agree naptime is my time to rest not school time. Plus it is not fair to the older child. I have also trained my oldest to work through distractions. It is life that a resonable amount of noise will occur. But teach the little ones to have respect for there sibling.

These were some really good tips. I'll keep them in mind for my future (I won't have kids for another couple of years, still finishing university).
