That was pretty much what I was saying. I was just being an asshole about it. Sorry. Myself, I`m usually straight hardware, so I have my bias. It can be unreliable, but there are ways of dealing. I use a 505 too, with the multi out mod through a little six channel mixer, so it behaves more like a proper sort of machine (I can apply effects to each drum sound, cut whichever one out that I want etc.) The 505 is an underrated little house box. I think it sounds great if used right

@hallobloobaloo wouldnt using vintage hardware (707, 909, 303, 202 etc) equipment be just as interesting musically? i go to raves around midatlantic and never hear that retro sound. i use a 505 at my live shows and ppl like it think it sounds unique which is all i want to hear

He just has a way of not being a weenie when problems happen. Half the guys out there (including myself) who use hardware will just freak out and walk off stage when problems happen, but ceephax just starts from the top. He went out of sync, like a million times when I saw him in Vancouver, but he just laughed it off. a real pro...
