Flaken,
I want to carve Han Solo in Carbonite with an automated machine. I'm looking for a heightmap (greyscale), or a 3d file. Do you know where i might find such a file?

i thought it was because the cuffs (or whatever those are called) melt away at the point the 'gas' is released. i think. that's what i read from the star wars website FAQs.

I have archived this, I haven't played with 3d in a long time. If I can find it, you can have a copy of my 3d model which is what was used to render this. If you have a program like 3dsmax you can edit it if you'd like. If this does work for you, I'd like to see the final result if that's cool. The only height map I used in this was a top down shot of crumpled tin foil that was used to make the wrinkles on the clothing in the model.

Check out "Return of the Jedi" if you haven't seen it, you'll find out in that movie.

It's just a bump map using the tinfoil image that comes with max as the map. Thanks.
