Sierra Canyon won the CIF State Division IV Bowl Game, 34-13, over Le Grand at the Home Depot Center in Carson on Friday night.
Sierra Canyon's Xavier Menifield scored three touchdowns and rushed for 137 yards.
Teammate Reggie Price caught a 13-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter and intercepted a pass in the third quarter.
Sierra Canyon capped an undefeated, 15-0, season with an Southern Section East Valley Division championship and its first CIF bowl game win.

  • Want to congratulate Sierra Canyon on winning their first state championship. They played well and earned it. As for Le Grand I'll always be a bulldog. I was born a bulldog, I was bread a bulldog and I will die happily a bulldog. You guys made history first Merced county team to make the state championship game and you guys shouldn't hang your heads because you have gone where most have never even thought of going before so I will gladly say you guys shocked many people and you did it with hard
