I sometimes cry when I watch this video :(

I think Everquest is the only game that has such a universal feeling for all those who played it at the beginning. It was so much more than a game. No game (or anything, really) has hit me the same way original EQ did. I didn't even realize it then so much, but now it's just incredible how amazing an experience it was.

I miss it so much :(

The feeling and rush that this game had is gone . I try'd geting back in to after being gone for 8 year's . leaveing when the sever's where pack'd and thing's where moveing along and comeing back now was so sading .

I still remember the day Mirage released this video. Man, I miss EQ. I've tried going back and playing Project 1999 and some of the other classic emulator servers, even the progression server, but none of them felt the same. Of course, it will never be the same, especially without all the people we used to spend our time with.

Maybe it was never that good to begin with, but I'll still cherish my memories all the same.

Everquest was great for the first MMO to play. Once you play the others though it becomes painfuly clear how lacking the game is though.... lol... Still a great video that takes me back to when I first saw it ages and ages ago

A long time EQ friend told me about a new EQ classic that is running, its free and is just like eq was when it first came out, same graphics and zones, only portals was from druids and wizzards. boy playing most of yesterday and the corpse runs brings back the memories for sure. my most famous line is and always will be is: "Have no Fear Meer is here" thats Meer Mordal of Drinal

I played EQ on Saryrn server for 6+ years, when I started I told my best friend about it and he ended joining, we were noobs running around getting lost and loving it lol. I ended up quitting due to RL issues, he continued to play. Back in April of this year my friend passed away in his sleep leaving behind a wife and kids, and friends who loved him. I started playing EQemu recently, it's hard sometimes due to the memories. Its fun but it just isn't the same, I suppose it never will be.
