@randy109 very moderate recreational use of oxycontin wont get you addicted nearly as fast as taking it without crushing it and taking it everday as perscribed. Im not saying its good to use it recreationally but the people who are perscribed it often have much heavier addictions (the big pharma calls addiction "dependantcy"
-continued- After 2 years of medicinal use I tried to "cut back" and suffered severe withdrawals. Pain, aches, cold sweats. Horrible anxiety and insomnia. I'm NOT a druggy, but I am an addict. Not an easy thing for a 52 year old, Conservative, ex-law enforcement officer to admit. I truly, and innocently became a slave to a "Stupid Little Pill"...
I'm finally getting help, but it's painful AND embarrassing. If you MUST use opiates please be careful.
If you must take Oxy, or ANY Opiate drugs be very careful. The addictive qualities are sneaky and even if you don't think you are abusing them you may (probably will) become addicted. I NEVER used Oxy to get "high" and used it to medically treat a bowel/stomach disorder. It worked great but after 1 year I felt like I HAD TO use it!
Not a good thing to be under the control of a stupid little pill...
