This is by far one of the greatest videos on Youtube, in my opinion. Your playing is very expressive and The Mars Volta do not write very easy songs to emulate, especially with this particular grade of accuracy and precision. You make me proud to be bassist. Keep grooving.

I just got into this band and I was wondering why the bass player reminded me of Flea, come to find out the song was originally played by him. I recognized the the melodic nature of Flea's playing quick.

A is dead right. The whole song is in A minor. But trust me.. there is no bass note in that section you demarcated on the album recording.

Dude what happen to open E at 2:05-2:23 but besides that it sounded good, so good that it made me wanna go eat a hot dog.....
