It's been kind of sad to see Mr. Rivkin appear at various Senate Judiciary Committee hearings. He is so clearly a paid hack when it comes to the torture issue. He goes to great lengths to defend the Bush administration's prosecution of torture.

No, that's a realist. Atrocities in war always occur, that's why the international legal standard is whether the commander ordered it or knew about it and did nothing - not whether it happened at all.
Our troops did do some bad things on the ground in Iraq, but compared to what our troops did against WWII POWs, in the field, our troops did a lot less. By comparison, what our troops did in WWII is far less than the enemy did in Iraq.
His was an intelligent defense of our troops; catch it?

Well said dmac6722, these neo-conservatives that in actually advocate bigger govt. and more importantly trampling our Constitution are the true enemies of this country. Smaller govt. means smaller govt. for ALL issues, not on all issues except taxpayer funded subsidies for oil and corporate agriculture.
