Alec Baldwin about suicide and trivial media coverage

Alec Baldwin makes a great point when saying that the media is increasingly covering trivial, mindless and utterly unimportant topics.
Remember the special coverage of Anna Nicole Smith's death that was run on many supposedly sophisticated news channels. (CNN included)
I honestly give a flying fuck about her death, celebrities' divorces or their flings.
Last thing I need is some serious news anchor reporting about a new series of killed people in Darfur and then going on with Michael Jackson's law-suits.
You simple-minded pricks. Get some worthy priorities, will ya.

I have to say...I completely agree with him. I mean, I have some videos that mock some celebrities. I really want to emphasise that they are all in good fun and not mean spirited AT ALL....but he is absolutley right about how we put up those things in a mean spirited way, which TOTALLY doesn't make sense to me. I'll never understand why there are haters of anyone who made a mistake and doesn't deserve to be hated. It's completely bogus (in my opinion). thumbs up if you agree
