nice-one-sonny-jim!

Despite those 'orrible spiders and children, this clip has had loads of hits on YT.
I'm getting excited already about your Christmas presentation. But let's hope it's 'Snow Coach' and not 'Toy Balloons'. Cheers MT

@pyestudiocolour Same with the Pumpkin, it started to steam at one point...haha!!
Then the Pumpkin rolled over on it's side...On another the cobwebs got caught round the turntable...Then the Massive fluffy spider knocked the Pumpkin over and the cobwebs caught alight...It was all very embarrassing and too full of colourful language...haha!!
The only one I kept was the first go with the spider before the fire happened...Pure Dansette audio though and me rustling around. Maybe a private video? :)

@GarrardAT6 Not as bad as the butternut squash did last night when the candle nearly set it alight!
I thought the sound was a bit "modern" for the Dansette, I wondered if you'd fitted an uprated replacement speaker in it, but now I know!
Go on, show us the first, disastrous version! We're all very keen to see it!

@IVORIESMAN Thanks for your support Joe! :)
The kids have gone now...You can come out from behind the sofa...haha!!!
I've put the cobwebs back in Roland's cupboard...It was so nice of him to lend them to me...haha!!!
Cobwebs do catch fire fast! They also get wrapped round the turntable...If it wasn't so embarrassing I'd do a 'blooper' video...haha!!! :)

@MarcusTomatos As always Mark you are 100% correct!
Yes, It is a demo copy...I wanted Russ to sound at his best for the occasion, and out of all the copies of Goldrush / Halloween that I have, this demo is the cleanest sounding by far!
I'm no lover of spiders either Mark!...I spent ages in the garden catching all those for my cobweb's...Most have crawled away on their own now though...haha!!!
Thanks for the comment...You always make me smile! :)

@bluenazz Hey...Craig's not dead!
I've just seen you killed by 'The Predator'...haha!!!
So pleased you've made a recovery!

@727JeffN Thanks Jeff!
I was thinking about putting one of those shock screamer images at the end...But with the age of some folk that listen to Russ Conway I thought it best not too...haha!!!

@sablestable Thanks Andrew! :)

@pyestudiocolour Thanks Neil!
I'm not keen on Pumpkin either! They smell horrible...haha!!!
I'm helping the old Major out a little...It is playing the record, but there is a hidden lead running to the vintage Cambridge Audio sound system and sub I have in the workshop...The screeching children were too much for the poor old Major to handle on his own...haha!!!

Is it safe to come out from behind the sofa yet?.....No no - it's not the spiders, it's those God awful plummy kiddies again! I think this lot must be the 'Toy Balloons' rejects!
Seriously though Jon, great video - is that a flickering candle in the pumpkin I see? Do 'Health and Safety' know about this? (L O L).

Bloody hell! That is scarey. I couldn't go anywhere near that record player as I hate spiders. I assume it's a demo 45, as it has a white label instead of the usual black. Great little tune this and nice to hear it again, but spoilt by those screeching kids.
Not quite as plummy sounding as the lot on 'Toy Balloons', but they still managed to spoil a good record. Don't get me wrong, I like children, I just couldn't eat a whole one! MT

@pyestudiocolour Great video and yes, those chiildren are truly frightening (:->

Happy Halloween! Boo!

Great!

Blimey, Jon, it looks like some of the forgotten radios in my shed (although mine have more spider muck on them!). Great spooky video, although Mr Conway's little ditty is a little upbeat rather than spine tingling - then again, those children singing are enough to frighten anyone!
Love the Dansette, it has wonderful sound quality and the pumpkin carving is spot on too. I'm not all that keen on pumpkin, so I have a butternut squash to carve later ;-)
Happy Halloween!
Haha nice video, and what a catchy little tune this is! Good old Russ Conway never fails to entertain does he?! Thanks for sharing with us :)

@ChiefNolte Your kind words are much appreciated! :)
Yes, good old Russ has a tune for every occasion, bless him!
I set my heart on getting this one up for Halloween...I'll have to start working on Christmas soon...haha!!!

I have the original set of parts used for that recording gathering dust (but no spider's webs) in my loft. Sadly, I haven't yet found an opportunity to perform the piano part. Does anyone have a tame orchestra and choir...???

@honkytonkpiano I think we'd all love to hear a nice clean piano version of this tune Mike!
Maybe next Halloween?
