Toby Summerfield was in the market for a looper to help fill out the live sound of his three piece, and after demoing several pedals, he settled on a Line 6 DL4 Delay Modeler. After some time playing with his new pedal, Toby discovered it could do a lot more than just pretend to be a bassist.

In this video, he shows us how he gets some super lush sounding ambient tones and rhythms with the DL4's sample and loop functions in conjunction with a volume pedal.See more on Gearwire.com.

  • Did he fix it so the delay worked with the looper?

  • Nice work man, is that a reissue sock or original?

  • Check out Minus The Bear! Each guitarist has 4 of these on his board, and they use them very well. Dave Knudson is a god.

  • no shit brothah, all the cool stuff is a lotta bread!!!

  • I want to see this guy with Bill Frisell. Probably a magical combination.

  • @kesslavada3 Oh god yes. I've had both the DL4 and the M9 and the M9 pwns. The dirt, filters, mods, and delays are absolutely wonderful. I plan on having the DL4 and the M9 on my board though, just because I am a douche. lawl.
