That's not what I meant. If you pick the gun as a dueling weapon instead of the banjo, you'll lose. After Edward brakes into a guitar solo is when you use it.

Haggis would kick Guybrush's ass if it was a fight he wanted.
A couple things for the views to know. If you try use the gun to duel Edward you lose (I think he cheats, I don't remember), and if you don't cheat with Haggis you lose against him, but that's fairly obvious since he's a big brawny guy.
