wish i could understand persian. Can anyone tell me if it is true that women have to wear it to show respect for God. what is the real meaning behind the obligation to wear it in Iran?

Ahmad Batebi, this vid's presenter, honors Iranian women for their obligatory hejab but he also does that basically to support an Iranian man from the oppostion, named Majid Tavakoli who was recently ridiculed by the Iranian regime authorities for having escaped arrest following one of his speeches, clad in women scarf and hejab (veil) which is not really true after all.
Batebi "is honored" to support him and the Iranian women by wearing the scarf with other men in the salon following him.
