There is no test to prove you will drive sensibly when nobody is watching. Until somebody invents it, I guess we're stuck with the stats and you're stuck in a category with a bunch of idiots.

Performance is only dangerous because it gives you less time to reconsider, and makes it easier to get carried away. Even for the relatively sensible among us, 5 seconds is not long to reconsider a moment of stupidity. Probably best you're not doing 150 clicks before reason kicks in.
