Taser tragedy

A man in his 40s died early Sunday morning after RCMP jolted him with a Taser at the Vancouver International Airport, police said.
Airport security called the Mounties for assistance after an unidentified man began pounding on windows and throwing chairs and computer equipment in the customs area shortly after arriving on an international flight at 1:30 a.m., Richmond RCMP Sgt. Pierre Lemaitre told CBC News.

They were never intended to be used like police are currently using them. If two officers are present, and someone brandishes a knife, one should draw a gun, the other a taser. @spamsam99 I don't know how there is even a debate. Tasers can and do kill. So does pepper spray. Someone with asthma, mesothelioma, chronic bronchitis and many other respiratory illnesses can die from pepper spray when they breath it in. A taser can easily disrupt a pace maker, but even on a normal healthy individual, if you shoot them in the chest, and the electrodes land in opposite sides of the heart, can pass a current through, making the heart muscle seize up. @FuckNewbs Oh and don't forget that after they tasered him while laying face down on the ground, his girlfriend went hysterical and they pepper sprayed her into submission. It is too freaking much. They need to take tasers and pepper spray out of the pictures until cops learn when they can legally, or should use them. Make em go back to the old way where they had to physically restrain people instead of being pussies.

@FuckNewbs Or when complying with their orders, laying face down on the ground, if you ask any questions or are confused. There's a video on youtube of one guy that was standing there with his hands on the hood of the cop car not moving and the officer hit him with a hand held stun gun(the kind that you have to physically touch them with) and another of them arresting a guy that passed the sobriety test but they decided to arrets him anyway, and tasered him for no reason while he was face down.

cops the world over are cowards, they believe they have a licence to kill. If you or I tasser someone and they die we get charged with murder - you taser someone - you are charged with using a deadly weapon, the cops taser someone - they say these are safe devices, not deadly at all - go figure?
