@moviesperson100001 Uh, no. I WAS the attraction. Many of the park's characters are actual people/actors dressed up to look like mechanical puppets. It was my dream job, only the big cheeses at WDW didn't think enjoying one's work was in line with the "WWMD" (What Would Mickey Do) philosophy of the Magic Kingdom. So, I was let go...
Like everything else at WDW, the original is superior, until some gay imagineers decide to 're-invent' already perfect rides. This ride has been ruined since they 're-made' it.
I LOVED this ride the first time I went on it and on my trip back I had so hoped they didn't do anyway with my talking Parrot pal! Unfortunately they did and I missed him terribly. Thanks for the memories!
I love this ride. It's still the same..just with my fave pirate Captain Jack Sparrow. Along with the pirate who was in the first movie that was evil. I CAN'T BELIEVE I FORGET HIS NAME! Anyways, I hope some day I'll get to go back. I miss Disney World terribly. =( I really can't wait to go back.
The great thing about the old Disney rides were that they were dark and disturbing. People wanna sanitize everything for kids these days. 1000's of people managed to see this, Mr.Toad, and the orig. Haunted Mansion, without dire consequences (well--as far as I can tell).

I used to play the drunk guy holding the rum barrel talking to the cats, but Disney let me go after they decided I was having too much fun at work...
