In this short video, we will examine a simple but profound question. Why do you, as an intelligent Christian, disobey Jesus? Why dont you do what Jesus tells you to do in the Bible?

The Bible makes it very clear: To be a Christian, You must obey Jesus. For example, the bible says: We know that we have come to know [Jesus] if we obey his commands. The man who says, I know him, but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. - 1 John 2: 3-4 Jesus also says: That servant who knows his masters will and does not get ready or does not do what his master wants will be beaten with many blows. - Luke 12: 47 The message is clear enough. To be a Christian, you must obey Jesus. So lets look at five things that Jesus has commanded you to do in the Bible. These commandments, and the fact that you ignore them, will amaze you...

  • Clearly you're upset because you haven't been healed.

  • @Nixom1334 It's possible for intelligent people to hold to views contrary to what his/her education has taught. Michael Shermer once said, "Smart people are good at rationalizing things, they came to believe for non-smart reasons."

  • @daemonowner They don't follow it because of logic. Which is ironic - they claim morality from Bible, but ignore things they don't agree with because of their own reason. Which means they use their own morality, and justify it using Bible anyway.

  • @joethemoproductions There are loads metaphors and parables in the bible, but I'm not saying that all of the verses mentioned in this video are. Regardless, what I'm saying is that most christians take it at face value, but then apparently don't follow through for some ad hoc reason.

  • @splintercellchicken

Give an objective method to discern metaphor from command. The calls to give up wealth are quite clear and repeated? Not only that, this alleged Jesus purportedly lived in poverty. How is that a metaphor.

  • @daemonowner

How are the repeated calls from this alleged Jesus to get rid of wealth metaphorical?
