Just another video of me trying poorly not to suck. I seem to have a theme going here where I miss most of the action and only score 2 kills. Regardless, this is the Assault class. Like a buffer between the parallels of the Recon and Support class, it's not quite as weak as the Recon class, but not quite as tough as the Support class. Conversely it's stealthier/quicker than the Support, but slower/less stealthy (don't let my awesome flank in the video fool you) than the Recon. I prefer it because on one hand, my armor isn't papier-mâché like with the Recon class, but I don't move slower than molasses like with the Support class. It's pretty well rounded. Also demonstrating the nt_tarmac level.

SnakeTheFox is my Steam name, add me if you're bored. Or don't, I wont lose sleep... ;~;

  • Just a tip try to always have motion vision on it is extremely useful especially for camo'd recons and assaults.

  • Right but it's entirely useless for what I was attempting, a flanking maneuver on (generally stationary) marksmen. As I've said in my Support-class video, I hate vision modes except for IR to see through smoke. Other than that I work better in natural light/vision. They're more of a handicap for me.

  • which class is better for using sniper rifles?

  • Assault-class generally. They get the best sniper rifle in the game (although prepare for other people to call you a lameass for using it), that basically takes no more than two shots to kill even a fully healthy support. It's like the AWP of Neotokyo.

  • I use to think that way until I realized how I still see everything clearly with Motion Vision, plus I can see everyone else, and even snipers move around and that is when it becomes useful.
