Super Mario Galaxy Gravity Jump

I'm sure we've all noticed the gravity defying platforming in SMG and it looks pretty cool. I saw a place in the Space Junk Galaxy that looked like you could get some good gravity jumping. I tried and I think I did pretty good. Longest orbit at end of video.

the best planet for long jumps is, without a doubt, one of the two small planets in Deep Dark Galaxy. I won't tell you why so i don't spoil it for anybody, but it is the greatest thing EVER

You can use the gravity fields around individual objects in the game. You can use these fields to slingshot around objects similar to how NASA plots the course of a satellite through the solar system. If you haven't played the game it may be difficult to imagine what the gameplay mechanic feels like. I can say, in my opinion, its quite fun :)

Man, we have discovered a new sport. I did a good one (or so I thought, before watching this), at the Battlerock Ballage, at the begining.

Have you ever escaped? I've done it twice... after hours of trying... it bubbles you back, just like home.

It's hard, but I've managed to escape from the Trial Galaxies planet... that is one crazy orbit. It puts you in a bubble and carries you back, just like if you jump off the starship. The TGP is that three-bumped thing in the sky... once you've busted them, you can go there anytime. GL!

I enjoy the little planet with the green lumas. It's pretty fun to weave between those three bumps.
