Ecco the Dolphin Tribute

A music video (like an AMV) I made a LONG time ago as a tribute to all the Ecco the Dolphin games, I think it's still a nice tribute and deserved to be seen, so I posted it. :3

Games shown are Ecco the Dolphin, Ecco: Tides of Time, Ecco Jr, and Ecco: Defender of the Future from Dreamcast. The old 3D Ecco 'movies' from the Sega Saturn edition's recap vids. I love this series so much...I grew up playing it on my Genesis.

All clips (except the 3D movies from Saturn, and the blurry TV ad clips) were captured directly by me off of my Dreamcast and Genesis using an A/V input wire. And yes I did actually lip sync Ecco while he was tail walking to sing that one line. (As you know you can control his dolphin chatter with a button lol).

And the Dolphins from Ecco 2 swimming in formation is NOT a hack it's from when you beat the Vortex Queen.

Also, sorry ahead of time for the poor Video quality, it's old, and youtube's converter ate it.

I hope they make an Ecco 3 someday that is a TRUE sequel to Ecco: Tide of Time! From what I read in an interview with the creator of Ecco on 'DARK SEA' (The best classic Ecco resource site out there), the creator has had plans for the story of the third installment for a long time but currently has no plans/team to make the game. One can hope! :D

lol i played ecco1 and ecco2 in sega emulator and i finished all the stages ;o but what i loved was the secret password and the musics of ecco 2

how do you animate using pencil and paper?! do you draw the character then take a pic of it and do the same with the following frames? or do you draw all the frames then take a vid of them and just speed it up?
