If Christian lived out his expected lifespan, he would have died around 1985. He was bought as a cub from a London department store (back when it wasn't illegal) in 1969.

That makes sense. It is still a heartwarming story. I'm glad that Christian got to lead a happy, healthy life. If he has passed I hope that he knew how much these guys, and us, really love him. RIP buddy!
