when i do this in a project im working on it moves everything else over and its not lined up? any ideas? what I did was bring the clip to the end of the time line and changed the speed then placed it where i wanted.. any easier way?

@calism23 i have both and it does it sometimes with both, i save the project and quit the program then reload and sometimes that makes it work. but its odd that it does that sometimes. if anyone knows more please let me know.

@023crouchy777 - Do you have Final Cut Express or Pro? I'm thinking it's not letting me do it because I have Express, but if you can do it with Express, let me know (speed up a click, that is).

Well then why doesn't Final Cut Express allow me to speed up a clip? If I go above 100%, It tell's me, "Unable to completed the command. A conflict occurred during a trim operation".
