I suppose the most bizarre result in '08 was arizona going into the blue column.
I mean, waz wit dat, nigga? I know there's a lot of california granola crunchers have moved into the state but it's not enough to explain this strange turn of events.
It'll probably be Obama because he has done some stuff that has been beneficial to us, and his wife has done just as much. But when he was elected he acted like he would scoop our country out of the tanking economy. He still hasn't. So I dont know who I will vote for.
Can't say historical as it is in the present. For all we know the next 4 years could be much better. That is like saying that FDR looks weak during his first term because the depression was still in full swing.
Obama looks weak from a historical standpoint, but is made stronger with a miserable looking GOP field and slow recovery. If unemployment is 8% or lower by election day 2012, Obama could win probably 51%-49% with 286 Electoral Votes to 252. Unemployment could be 6.5% in 2016 when he leaves office with 20 trillion dollars in debt. In 2016, the GOP will be split and about 50% of the electorate will be independent voters.
Yes Texas will be conservative for while, but in 20 years when Hispanics make up 40% plus with 15% of blacks and other minorities they will out number whites in the electorate, Texas will flip back Democrat! The GOP is gonna have do a better job at appealing to Latinos and blacks to keep Texas from going Democrat in 2020.
I'm sure SC and KY would vote for Adolf Hitler is he were the GOP nominee.
