Pioneer is a 'Newtonian' Space Simulator/Game set in a procedurally generated Galaxy.
A Remake of Elite 2.

You tube is way off on the music and has probably violated a few laws itself by claiming this music is Goldie's :)
Its LTJ Bukem Track 3 off a cd I have.

sorry the graphics suck and i seem to be having a problem with the spacecraft veering off to the right even in space

@percheron1654 Best space combat sims, sure. This is more a space exploration/trader. Kind of apples-oranges comparison.

Very good! I love realistic Space Sims like Elite 2/3.

@percheron1654 Its not just space combat that people are interested in. I'm much more interested in exploration and sandboxing along with combat. Games like Tachyon and Freespace limited me to a certain "fly zone", it didnt allow me to fly to "that star over there".

Tachyon and Freespace were the best space combat simulators that ever existed. I don't understand why people developing space sims don't follow their example.

@nado2s lol, okay, I have to respect you for quoting the dude... But honestly, those games were the prime, it's sad seeing their examples ignored.

@percheron1654 :) I think it is a case of each unto their own.. While I did absolutely love tachyon and to a lesser extent freespace, the one I always remember is Frontier/FFE despite its terrible flaws :) I-war EoC was pretty good as well... Pioneer is still early days anyway and hopefully one day we'll have a robust mission system like tachyon.
