Two very real truths here! Without Tony Hadley there would be no Spandau Ballet and no reunion, very true! At one point however, the rest of the band considered reuniting without Gary Kemp (who several of them had a lawsuit over music royalties). But without Gary, none of these songs would exist. He wrote them all, all the classics, and the hits! Tony Hadley without the great songs to sing would be a great voice without reaching it's potential (look at his solo career). It's a band effort!

Spandau Ballet without Tony Hadley definitely is NOT spandau Ballet...Tony is the voice that express the songwriting and the emotions. Kemp knows he can't replace Tony and Tony IS the voice of Spandau Ballet so the reunion only happened this year BECAUSE Tony finally agree to it.

One of my fav spandau songs...tony sings it with passion and his voice just get finer with age...like fine wine!! thanks for posting this. I wish I can see Tony in concert in the USA.
