Check out this mother polar bear and her two cubs. They're breathing a little easier today, thanks to a court order stopping oil exploration off the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, won by Earthjustice, the law firm for the environment.

@KosaiAvonej There are plenty of ways to make oil last longer let alone engines that run off hydrogen and vegetable oil. They developed cars that could drive 200 miles on 2 gallons of gasoline in the 1950's....no surprise here but Shell bought the patent out and put it in the archives...they want you to buy gasoline...they'll pay anything to keep it that way.

i can survive any climate on earth.i don't need oil to survive.but this video and the idea that oil drilling endangers the polar bears is a devil's lie.they're actually growing in numbers.environmentalists and animal rights people are like stupid girls that are emotionally driven.now i believe in good stewardship of the land.hunters,gatherers and farmers do a way better job than those stupid "rights" people.

Actually, solar can sustain a world population of 6.25 billion and growing fast.

The issue isn't the number of people that need energy. The issue is the efficiency of energy usage.

Funding for more efficient solar batteries and panels would be far more effective than funding for trying to find more oil and gas. We don't need to find the sun. We just need to find more efficient ways to harness its power.

Then why dont we simply divert the funding to something more effective then fossil fuel? We have the technology to and most scientist agree within twenty years there will be a new source of energy that renders oil obsolete and could power a growing population.
