Aptos is a beautiful area. I have lived in the south bay my entire 50 years and have enjoyed playing golf at Aptos Seascape and visiting Seacliff beach.

@supersix54 Yea I miss Aptos. My whole life was there. I lived on 23 acers of property in Aptos from 1985 till 2004 and I graduated from Aptos High School in 2002.

BTW: They just with in the last few months started to put a Southern Pacific caboose on the west side of the Truckee Amtrak station, it still appears to be under construction and it looks like it may be a small museum or something.

We'll probably catch it from Emeryville or Oakland and ride it up to Truckee or Reno. I plan to do some serious snowboarding and railfanning!
