Gift basket making tip by Deborah Dolen "The more shallow a basket the more easier it is to build up and look great. This means you can use less product. If you plan to put a lot of stable filler in a deep basket then it is OK. Try to buy non-perishable products on sale and keep them for your gift basket making endeavors. Buy small items to act as fillers of any left over black areas. I prefer to buy gold foil chocolates and candies to use as fillers before I wrap up the final product. As far as bows, I show how to make them but I far prefer a big metalic pull bow. January 8th, 2010 Deborah Dolen is totally awesome - I was following her work before she was at Mabel White Home Living and Home & Garden. Even when people had no money she stood there and taught them anyway, usually signing a book and handing it to them as a gift. You go Deborah we need more people like you in this world.
