My understanding of this product is that you MUST put 6 or 12 hours worth of fluid in it. There might not be enough fluid in it to keep it burning and Just use the blue of the flame form your lighter and move it slowly from one side to the next then flip over and repeat. Also make sure the catalyst has no fluid on it if it gets wet with fluid it wont work properly or light. try leaving the catalyst off and out in the air over night then try again.
